As a class we were really amazed by Randy's ability to stay calm and humurous throughout the book and the movie. We had become philosiphers and tried to find out why Randy was able to be so calm. We thank Randy Pausch for an inspirational book and movie. We all think this book is a good guide to your life and shows courage and ways to get around lifes up and downs. It teaches alot of lessons that others wouldnt be able to teach. Randy has helped me alot with my sport because he has shown me not to give up and to keep trying because it will work out if you really want it.-Alex. In less than a couple of days, I have seen his video repeatedly and read his books two times. Have bought some additional books and send it to close friends and still trying to understand, deep message behind Randy's some comments! What a man! He has not lost the battle, but he has transformed his loss into celebration! He has inspired millions all across the globe, people have cried and filled pain for him and his family! An ex girl friends aunt gave me randy's book to read as i left for a cross country greyhound trip. i dont read often, but i couldnt get out of that book. since then i use many aspects to appreciate my life i have now, i use many of the techniques randy teaches day to day now so i must thank you jai for allowing your late husband to proceed, the lives he touched in a one hour lecture go well past probably his own expectations. I am a classroom teacher of 27 years in public elementary school. I have a family going through the loss of their mother. The children do not know yet how serious her cancer is. She has terminal colon cancer. This year I will have the third of their 4 children. Thank you so very much Randy for sharing your thoughts, you helped me more than you can know. I know how to be a better teacher, support and friend to this family now. Your family is blessed for every minute together.
